CrossFit programs are developed to offer a full-body workout that combines elements of cardio, weight training, gymnastics, core training, and more to prepare the body for the unexpected. Many of these workouts are designed to perform functional movements at a high intensity for short periods of time. As with any intense sport or activity, injuries are inevitable. Although acute or traumatic injuries can happen, the majority of injuries we see from CrossFit athletes are repetitive strain or overuse injuries from improper form or inadequate recovery.

  • Make sure that recovery is a priority in your workout program through proper nutrition, rest, and rehabilitation.
  • Follow treatment advice to ensure appropriate return to activity following a previous injury.
