Elizabeth completed her Bachelor of Science, Kinesiology degree from Dalhousie University and worked as a Kinesiologist in her hometown of Rothesay, NB. During her Kinesiology degree, Elizabeth was active in the Athletic Training community, as the Student Athletic Trainer for the Varsity Women’s Rugby Team at Saint Mary’s University. It was also during this time that Elizabeth gained certification in Soft Tissue Release Therapy.
Elizabeth graduated from Dalhousie University with her Master of Science, Physiotherapy degree. Since graduating, Elizabeth has been working primarily with orthopaedic conditions and continues to be active in the sports physiotherapy community as a member of Sports Physiotherapy Canada. She also spends her time working as a Teaching Assistant for the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy.
Elizabeth’s special interests are in orthopaedics and sports injury prevention/treatment. In addition to her focus in musculoskeletal injuries, Elizabeth has pursued postgraduate education in concussion rehabilitation. She is a Certified Complete Concussion Management Provider and is trained in baseline testing, assessment/management of acute concussion, and assessment/management of Post Concussion Syndrome. She is also a member of Acupuncture Canada and currently holds certificates in Level 1 and 2 anatomical acupuncture.
