Gabrielle Bowman

REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST

BSc (Kin), MScPT

Gabrielle is a physiotherapist who enjoys helping people better understand their bodies, work through injuries, and get back to the activities that are important to them. She completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at Dalhousie University in 2023 before earning her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2026.

Sport and movement have been a big part of Gabrielle’s life from an early age. She competed in sprint canoe-kayak from childhood through university, including multiple appearances at national championships. Through her own experience with training, recovery, and performance, she developed a strong interest in how the body adapts, heals, and responds to movement.

Before pursuing physiotherapy, Gabrielle worked as both a sprint canoe-kayak coach and personal trainer. She coached youth and older adult paddling programs and supported clients of all ages and abilities as a personal trainer. These experiences strengthened her appreciation for the many ways movement can support health, confidence, independence, and quality of life, regardless of age or fitness level.

Gabrielle enjoys working with a wide variety of patients, including athletes, active individuals, and older adults looking to stay strong, mobile, and engaged in the activities they enjoy. She focuses on understanding what matters most to each patient and works with them to develop a plan that feels realistic, practical, and tailored to their goals. She combines hands-on treatment, exercise, and education to help people feel more confident managing their symptoms and returning to the activities that matter most to them.

Outside of the clinic, Gabrielle enjoys making the most of her time outdoors, whether that is paddling on the water, hiking local trails, or going for a run. She also appreciates slow mornings with a coffee in hand, sharing good food with friends and family, and finding any excuse to spend a sunny day by the water. If there’s a dog nearby, she’ll rarely pass up the opportunity to stop and say hello!
